et cetera

• The title is from the Hopkins poem "Spring and Fall: To a Young Child." In the poem, leafmeal mostly means "leaf by leaf" -- like piecemeal. But I also like to think about getting a nourishing meal from the leaves of books.  Mmm, poetry.

• This blog is pretty sporadic, as you can see.  It's mostly just a place for me to write stuff I'm thinking about in a way that will make me polish it a tad more than scribbling it in my notebook would.  But dialogue is quite welcome also.  And if you'd like a post about anything in particular, let me know and I'll see what I can do (as long as I don't happen to be coming up on my own personal academic Ragnarok at the time).
